I hope I’ve inspired you to get ready to bake, so let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. Here are the ingredients you will need to make this homemade pastry.
Milk, containing about 2 – 3.5% fat, is a rich, creamy base for baking. Its high fat content contributes to moistness, tenderness and juicy taste.
Lemon juice gives a taste of light of acidity and helps to work with the leavening agent responsible for the soft and airy texture of the cake.
Egg plays an important role in baking because it creates structure and stability within the batter, adding moisture to cakes and other baked goods.
Baking powder has an important purpose in baking because it creates air bubbles that give your baked goods a light, airy texture.
Salt enhances and balances taste, especially sweetness. Enough salt can make a mediocre recipe stand out.
Chia seeds. Adding chia seeds to a cake will add a little crunch or extra thickness to the cake, as well as a memorable and rich flavor and texture.
Vegetable oil. Choosing vegetable oil is the best option for baking moist, delicious pastries. Canola oil or sunflower oil is the most common vegetable oil used in baking and does not add a strong flavor. This allows the flavor of your cake to shine through while still achieving a moist texture.
Brown sugar adds a deep, caramel or toffee flavor thanks to the added molasses, making the cake an unforgettable experience.
Semolina. The coarse texture of semolina, as opposed to the fine texture of white flour, makes it a healthier choice. Semolina is rich in gluten and contains nutrients such as fiber, carbohydrates and protein. Semolina adds additional texture and richness to baked goods.
All-purpose flour is versatile because it contains an average amount of protein. The more protein in wheat, the more gluten is formed. Gluten gives dough its elasticity, helping it to stretch and trap gases created by leavening agents such as yeast and baking powder.

Ingredients
- 230 g milk
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 egg
- 7 g baking powder

- 100 g brown sugar
- 120 g semolina
- 120 all-purpose flour
- 1 spoon vegetable oil (for mold)

Instruction
- In a large bowl, add the following ingredients: milk, lemon juice, egg, baking powder, salt, chia seeds. Mix the ingredients well.
