Ingredients
for Pie Crust
- 320 g flour
- 3 g salt
- 70 g vegetable oil
- 135 g cold water
for Apple Tangerine Pie Filling
- 3 apples
- 2 mandarins
- 50 g brown sugar
- 50 g cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt.
- Add vegetable oil to the flour and mix with a spoon until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add the cold water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing by hand until the dough comes together.
- Divide the dough into two parts: one large, the other smaller, form discs and wrap each disc in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the larger of the dough disks to fit the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan. Place the rolled-out dough in the mold and gently press it to the bottom and sides.
- Pierce the surface of the dough with a fork to make small holes. This will prevent the dough from swelling and help the hot air to find its way out.
- Clean the apple and tangerine with water. Cut the apples into thin slices and set aside the apple core.
- Peel the tangerine and divide it into parts.
- In a separate bowl, mix apple pieces, tangerines, brown sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon. Gently mix everything together until well combined.
- Transfer the apple mixture over the prepared pie crust and press the edges of the crust with your fingers.
- Roll remaining half of pie crust dough to 9 inches in diameter and place it on top of the apple filling. Trim around the outside edges, and make sure you cut a few slits in the top for steam to escape.
- Brush crust lightly with milk or cream.
- Bake for 45 minutes at 405 F, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for about 30 minutes. This will allow the filling to set.
- Serve the Homemade Apple Tangerine Pie on its own or with a dollop of whipped ice cream or scope of yogurt. Enjoy this delightful pastry with a cup of tea or coffee for a truly indulgent treat.

Whether you choose to enjoy this Homemade Apple Tangerine Pie during the holidays or as an everyday treat, its combination of flavors and textures is sure to please your taste buds.
